Google Ad Grants,
Up to $10,000 a month in free search ads.
Google pays for the clicks. In return it asks for a charity status, a decent website and an account someone keeps up every month. We take care of all three, from the application to the last ad.
From application to a used grant,
Your part is the charity details we cannot look up ourselves. The rest is ours.
- Check your status
Through Goodstack, the party Google uses, we check whether your organisation qualifies.
- Google for Nonprofits
We set up the non-profit account, if you do not have one yet.
- Keywords and strategy
What do your visitors, volunteers and donors search for? That decides the campaigns.
- Prepare the site
Pages for those searches, where the money goes, and KvK, RSIN and ANBI in the footer.
- Apply to Google
With the improved site online, so Google sees it straight away.
- Start and adjust
One campaign per goal, adjusted every month so the grant actually gets used.
A specialist keeps
Approves your campaigns Most foundations I speak to applied for the grant once, and then nobody had time for it. The account drops below 5%, Google pauses it, and the money is gone without anyone noticing. Applying is a form. Keeping it running is the actual work, and that is what I want to take off your hands.
What is Google Ad Grants?
Google Ad Grants is a Google programme that gives charities up to $10,000 a month in search ads, free of charge. You do not pay for the clicks.
That $10,000 is a ceiling, not a payout. How much of it you use depends on how often people search for what you do. The grant cannot be paid out in money and only shows ads in Google Search.
What you need
- An ANBI or non-profit status
A valid ANBI ruling. Governments, hospitals, schools and universities are excluded by Google.
- An application with Google itself
First verification as a non-profit, then access to the Ads account.
- A safe, fast website of your own
Mission first. Selling is allowed, as long as the site explains that the proceeds support the cause.
- Someone who keeps the account up
At least 5% click-through rate and measured conversions. An account that stands still gets paused.
What can you use the grant for?
For everything people search for that brings them closer to your cause. Most foundations run two or three tracks next to each other.
- Visitors to your shop, event or programme
- Volunteers for a few hours a week
- Donors, suppliers and partners
- Money in your account: the grant is not paid out
- Ads outside Google Search, like YouTube or banners
- Sales without telling where the proceeds go
Do it yourself, or
The grant is free. Whether it keeps running depends on who looks after it.
Applying works. Keeping the click-through rate above 5% every month usually does not, and then Google pauses the account.
They run the ads. The page the click lands on stays your problem, while that page decides whether the click becomes a donor.
Application, campaigns, monthly upkeep and the pages the clicks land on, for one fixed monthly fee.
See the pricingGoogle pauses an account that stays under 5% click-through rate for two months in a row. That rarely happens in the first month. It happens in the quiet month after, when nobody is looking.
The grant works hardest
The grant brings the visitor. Your page turns them into a donor.

About Google Ad Grants.
What is Google Ad Grants?
A Google programme that gives eligible charities up to $10,000 a month in Google Search ads, free. You do not pay for the clicks. In return, the account has to keep meeting Google’s rules.
Does our foundation qualify?
In the Netherlands you need a valid ANBI status and an approved Google for Nonprofits account. Governments, hospitals and healthcare organisations, schools and universities are excluded. We check it through Goodstack before you spend an evening on the application.
What do we see before we start?
A short plan for your foundation: whether you qualify, what has to change on the site, and three example campaigns with the searches behind them.
Why do so many grant accounts stop?
Because the grant asks for monthly attention: at least 5% click-through rate, at least two ad groups per campaign with two ads each, measured conversions and a site that stays online. Below 5% for two months in a row, and Google pauses the account.
Is the $10,000 always used in full?
Rarely. It is a ceiling: how much you use depends on how often people search for what you do. We aim the campaigns at every search that fits your cause, so as little as possible is left unused.
Can we sell through the grant?
Yes, as long as the mission comes first and the site explains where the proceeds go. A charity shop or a ticket for a benefit event can work.
What does it cost?
The grant is included in Maximize, €249 a month: the application, the campaigns, the monthly upkeep, and your site, SEO and content. The clicks are paid by Google. You cancel or move down monthly, so trying it is possible.
Do you also run our site and SEO?
Yes, in the same plan. The grant only covers search ads, so your organic ranking and the pages the ads land on are part of the work.
